Creative Workshops for Adults
Paint at an easel beneath the dome or practise observational drawing in the galleries.
Sundays and Wednesdays
Adult workshops move the experience of art from observation into practice. Participants study a work’s composition, line and colour, then test those discoveries on paper or canvas. The aim is not imitation, but a slower and more attentive way of looking.
Book an Easel takes place on Sundays from 13:00 to 16:00 and offers painting inspired by the collection. On Wednesdays from 16:30 to 18:30, observational drawing sessions use the museum’s architecture and selected objects as their subjects.
Previous drawing experience is not the point. What matters is the concentration the process creates: details once overlooked begin to emerge throughout the galleries. Museum admission is required, and booking a workshop place in advance is advisable.
