Dhafer Youssef Live Under the Dome

On 19 December 2026, the sound of the oud will fill the Auditorium Plaza as Dhafer Youssef performs at Louvre Abu Dhabi. The Tunisian musician is celebrated for moving freely between Arab tradition, jazz improvisation, classical form and contemporary electronics.

Under the dome, the setting becomes part of the performance: sea, evening light and Jean Nouvel’s geometry create a stage of their own. No specialist knowledge is required; Youssef’s expressive voice and the clarity of the oud speak directly to the listener.

The concert is scheduled from 20:00 to 21:30 as part of a collaboration with Abu Dhabi Festival. It is a rare chance to combine a museum visit with an evening performance and to see the architecture in a different light—and a different mood.
